All things Nice …& FURRILY FAMOUS!
I’m sure you’ve heard that most pets (dogs, cats, and even birds) can sense when the weather is going to turn bad. In the past couple of days, our resilience was put to test yet again with the deadly Cyclone Tauktae wreaking havoc on the Western & Southern coast of India. As usual, the Internet was filled with dreaded videos and images of the trail of destruction the Cyclone left behind us.
Marking ourselves well and safe, in this age of instant gratification, where we tend to quickly move on to ‘the next thing’ in our lives, we somehow missed thinking about our Four-LeggedFurry Li’l Friends on the streets who were left alone to battle it out by themselves. Sensing the change in pressure naturally alerts the pups and causes them to seek a shelter or a safe place, and yes, there were a few good Samaritans too who also took good care of the strays and got them out of harm’s way.
There could still be a few who would be displaced from their natural surroundings, looking for some help, for someone with who they can rely and make friends. Let’s look after them too, as they are still adaptable to humans and they too respond to human empathy.
See you next Friday! Stay Safe! Sleep Well!
