Birth of brands during pandemic!
Hey there,
In the latest news on the D2C front,Online meat startup Licious on Tuesday said it has raised $52 million (around ₹387 crore) from investors, in a Series G fund raise. The latest funding round took the company's valuation beyond $1 billion, taking it to the unicorn list.
Lately, there has been an increase in the number of D2C Brands get funding from investors. While I don’t foresee the DTC bubble bursting anytime soon, I do predict some shifts in terms of purchasing behavior and approaches to venture funding
The D2C space is getting crowded with each passing day creating enormous competition especially in the FMCG, Beauty, and Health - Wellness Categories. How many more brands reach unicorn status is something that only time will tell.
Till then Stay Safe! Sleep Well! See you next Friday !
